In 1990, we embarked on a journey of personal discovery and delved into the world of herbs and nutrition. Over the years, we have accumulated a wealth of knowledge which we actively share with others. In 1993, after Desiree completed her massage therapy training, we founded Sunshine Specialties, Inc. with the mission of extending our wellness services to the wider community. We welcome you to join us on this path of personal growth and learn with us as we strive to help ourselves and those around us embrace health and wisdom to live life to the fullest. Our thoughtfully curated health products and services are designed to support your inherent natural processes and assist you on your life's journey.

EDUCATION

At Sunshine Specialties, we believe that education is a crucial component in taking responsibility for one's health decisions. To meet this need, we offer a variety of resources such as a lending library, brochures, books for sale, social media outreach, and group classes. Additionally, we provide private consultations by appointment to offer education on the historical options available from an herbal and nutritional perspective. It's important to note that we are not medical doctors and do not act as such. Our aim as a wellness team is to empower each individual with practical knowledge to make better informed choices for their own health. We firmly believe that God has provided us with the tools to take care of ourselves, and there is no need to prolong illness or suffer from a lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6) when the truth can set us free!

OUR PURPOSE

Our goal at Sunshine Specialties is to empower you with practical knowledge on how to cultivate and maintain your own health. We achieve this by providing guidance on the effective utilization of fresh air, pure water, ample rest, chemical-free enzyme active foods (including herbs), regular physical activity, exposure to sunshine, fostering a healthy mindset, and drawing from the wisdom of the Word of God. Our hope is that through our services and expertise, you will experience the benefits of optimal health and acquire the tools to continue to care for yourself and others in the long run.

APPOINTMENT AND PAYMENT POLICIES

Arrival: We warmly welcome retail shoppers during our regular business hours. To ensure that we have your desired product in stock, we recommend calling ahead with your order. Please note that all of our services are by appointment only. If you need to complete any paperwork, we kindly request that you arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. In the event that you are running late, we will do our best to accommodate you with the remaining time available, however, you will be responsible for payment of the full scheduled service. Conversely, if we are running behind schedule, rest assured that you will receive your full service at no additional cost or a shorter service at a discounted rate. Parking is also available behind the building in the west lot.

Gratuities and Tips: May be given at your discretion in appreciation of outstanding service! 100% of tips are passed to your service practitioner.

Appointments / Rescheduling / Missed: At Sunshine Specialties, we recognize that schedule changes are sometimes inevitable. As part of our commitment to excellent service, our appointment system sends reminders via text and email (as provided) two days prior to your scheduled appointment. If for any reason you are unable to keep your appointment, we kindly ask that you call or text us as soon as possible so that we may inform any standby clients of availability. Please note that in the event that you miss an appointment without prior cancellation or rescheduling, a 50% service charge will be applied to your account.

Payment: We accept cash, Discover, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and good checks as payment. Checks are subject to a $50 fee if returned.
